The Unimportance of Being Important

I honestly don’t understand it…I don’t get how he does it. Or even why it affects me the way it does, because in all honesty it shouldn’t…But I’d be a liar if i said it didn’t affect me.

Why is it that as soon as I meet a new person, and start to develop a connection or friendship, “He” appears and rails them. Changing the interaction with that person from that point on. Now “He” has the right to rail whoever “He” wants, but this doesn’t change the fact that it alters my perception of that person forever.

The most recent occurrence has put the icing on the cake in my opinion. Follow me here, I’m hanging out with my friend, normal day, and I get introduced to one of their best friends. Cool right? So then me and this new person, lets call her Sally, start to become somewhat of friends, mind you Sally has no idea about “Him” nor do I think it would ever become apparent to tell her. Time goes on and I mention “Him” to Sally but tell her to be wary of the consequences of interacting with “Him” because “He” has power that is not yet been overcome. Warning after warning, she even assured me that it would never come to a point where they would talk passed being a friends, still I warned her one last time and let nature take its course. I hear that Sally is planning to hang out at “His” house. I knew then that if this event took place I would never be able to look at her the same, I’d had seen it all too many times before. It was already too late though, by the time I had a chance to act the damage was already done. I had lost another to “Him”. “HE” MUST BE STOPPED! There must be a way to evade “Him” or influence others to not fall victim to “His” powers. 

Want to know the worst part? 

“He” is my brother. A man who i cannot hate, and will always forgive.
